Mischa Barton
Barton is an American-born British actress who works in cinema TV, theater, and the stage. She has made her New York City debut at the Lincoln Center with Tony Kushner's Slavs! The actress also performed the principal character in James Lapine's Twelve Dreams. In 1996 she made her debut as an actress, with the appearance of a short part on the show All My Children. She played characters in Nickelodeon's animated program KaBlam! between 1996 and 1997. From 1996 to 1997, she acted as the lead on the television drama Lawn Dogs (1997) alongside Sam Rockwell, marking her debut acting experience. The films she has starred in are M. Night Shyamalan's psychological action thriller The Sixth Sense (1998) as well as The romantic comedy Notting Hill (1998). In addition, she starred in the crime thriller of 1999 that was a part of an independent production called Pups. Barton was Evan Rachel Wood's love-interest in ABC's Once and Again in 2001 and in the independent thriller Lost and Delirious in 2001. In the Fox drama The O.C.'s 2003-2006 seasons, Barton played Marissa Cooper. She won two Teen Choice Awards for the character. Barton was voted the "It Girl of 2003" by Entertainment Weekly because she played the character. Barton acted as a lead in the Richard Attenborough-directed thriller Closing the Ring as well as the comedies The St Trinian's Assassination of the high school president and Assassination of the president. In 2009 she came back to TV, in the CW show The Beautiful Life that Ashton Kutcher produced.
