Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the leading role in Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway show "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin", a musical starring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well director Diane Paulus. Patina played the character of Ben Vereen, an award-winning actor. She also mastered the Fosse's moves, which are essential to the musical. Patina received the Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in the Leading Role within a Musical as well as an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical as well as Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award, and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for her performance. In December 2012 through December 2012, she performed as The Leading Player of American Repertory Theater's production Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
